Collaborative Signings

The Self-Care Forum actively seeks to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organisations to advance the self-care agenda and promote self-care practices across the UK and beyond. This page showcases some of those valuable partnerships.

The United for Self-Care Strategy Coalition - 2025

The Self-Care Forum is a signatory to this Coalition, a global alliance established by the World Health Organization (WHO). As part of our commitment, we signed a statement published in Devex urging (United Nations) UN member states to do more to educate and support people in practising self-care as part of the global response to noncommunicable diseases.

Sadly, many countries are still hesitant to promote self-care—thought to be due to commercial interests.

Letter urges authors to include self-care in 10 Year Health Plan - 2025

In May 2025, the Self-Care Forum, as part of the Self-Care Strategy Group, wrote to The Rt. Hon. Wes Streeting MP and the authors of the 10-Year Health Plan, urging them to prioritise self-care within the NHS strategy for England.

Embedding self-care across the NHS is essential. It empowers individuals to take greater control of their health, supports recovery after medical treatments, enhances mental wellbeing, and reduces pressure on overstretched health services. Ultimately, a strong focus on self-care leads to better health outcomes for individuals and communities alike.
