Ellen Fallow

Dr Fallows is an NHS GP with experience supporting patients to treat and reverse long-term conditions such as Type-2 Diabetes through supported self-care including lifestyle change.

She has a post-graduate diploma in obesity and weight management and is board certified in Lifestyle Medicine. She works with the NHS Low-Calorie Meal Replacement programme to achieve Type-2 Diabetes remission in Birmingham and Solihull and has set-up group clinics to support people with long-term conditions to support self-care and lifestyle change.

Dr Fallows set-up the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine’s Learning Academy; writing their first course “Lifestyle Medicine: A Foundation Course” and continues to contribute to educating health care professionals on supporting self-care and lifestyle change as the course tutor in lifestyle medicine at Oxford University and lecturing at a number of medical schools, GP training and trainer events.

She has worked with NHS England, the RCGP and Department of Health and Social Care on person-centred care and weight management.
