1000s participate in Self-Care Week

More than 1000 individuals and organisations participated in 2023’s National Self-Care Week which also saw 100 schools in Northern Ireland run the Belfast Healthy City’s Pharmacy Schools Programme, helping to equip hundreds of schoolchildren with essential life-long skills on self-care, pharmacy, and medicine use.

Although there was a welcomed rise in schools, colleges and universities getting involved in 2023, it was the NHS that was, once again the largest group of participants with surgeries, Primary Care Networks, Integrated Systems and NHS Trusts all promoting the benefits of self-care helping to empower people to take better care of their physical health and mental wellbeing.
